Doom Vault Comes to Audio (at LONG Last!)
And Xeg's narration of the recap nearly killed me! 😂
Hey Realmers,
After far too long a wait, I finally have every last audio file for Doom Vault, The Realms Book 8, sitting on my hard drive. I've been living with the wait right alongside you, so let me say the thing I've wanted to say for months: it sounds incredible.
If you've spent any time in The Realms, you already know Armen Taylor has been the voice of this series since Gryph first clawed his way out of the Barrow. The man doesn't read these books so much as inhabit them. And this time around he did something that genuinely undid me.

For the uninitiated, Xeg is the foul-mouthed little imp who has been insulting Gryph and the gang since the early days. Armen turned his recap into something so unhinged that I sat at my desk giggling like an idiot every few seconds during my review. I wrote these words. I have read these words more times than any sane person should, and Armen's rendition of Xeg still got me.
So where do things stand? Right now, I'm working my way through the individual chapter files, doing my final quality-control pass and prepping the audiobook for release. Once that's done, I'll open preorders and come back to you with an actual release date. I know. A real release date. Finally!
I know the audio for this one has been a long time coming, and I appreciate your patience more than you know. If you've been holding off on getting back into The Realms until you could do it on audio, the finish line is finally in sight.
